Terms |
|
1.
Compliance with our guidelines given on the previous page. If
there is any chance that you might not fully understand them,
please call or email for clarification well before the wedding
day.
2. The security deposit required for overnight guests will apply
toward reimbursement for damages to Fjeldheim property or grounds
as a result of your event as well.
3. Any substantial work Josh has to do because you failed to
comply with the guidelines will be charged to your security
deposit at an hourly rate.
4. If the cost of making Fjeldheim whole exceeds the security
deposit, we reserve the right to bill you for the balance of
that cost. |

Deposits
and Balances |
|
An
initial deposit of $1800 and minimum commitment of a three-night
stay are required to reserve the date of your event. Total cost
will include your occupancy rent (you might choose to rent the
house for
more than three nights), the event fee ($2000 or $3000 depending
on number of guests), a fully-refundable security deposit of
$1000 and a $600 cleaning fee.
Fifty percent of this total is due two months prior to check-in.
The remaining fifty percent of your balance is due one month
prior to check-in.
SAMPLE
Initial cost of a "small" wedding at Fjeldheim: $9000
(Three night rental = $5400, small wedding fee $2000, security
deposit = $1000, cleaning fee = $600)
• Reservation deposit of $1800 due immediately ($7200
remaining)
• Second payment of $3600, 50% of remaining total, due
60 days before arrival date • Third payment of $3600 due
30 days before arrival date (paid in full)
• We refund your security deposit of $1000 after the event
Final cost of a "small" wedding at Fjeldheim:
$8000. |

Cancellations
and Refunds |
|
Because
of the limited supply of weekends in a year, the minimum
deposit to reserve the dates for your wedding ($1800) is
non-refundable.
If you
cancel your event less than two months before the beginning
of your reserved dates (after paying 50% of your remaining
balance), we will do our best to rent Fjeldheim to another
client for those dates you had reserved. If we succeed,
we will refund the full amount you have paid, less the minimum
deposit. If we are unable to rent Fjeldheim to another client
for those dates you had reserved, we will refund HALF the
total amount you have paid, less the minimum deposit. We
will also waive your obligation to pay the remaining 50%
of your bill.
If you
cancel your event less than one month before your arrival
day (after paying in full for your event), we will do our
best to rent Fjeldheim to another client for those dates
you had reserved. If we succeed, we will refund half the
amount you have paid, less the minimum deposit. If we are
unable to rent Fjeldheim to another client for those dates
you had reserved, we will be unable to refund any of your
total bill.
